Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize next month's bout.
Former twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's biggest financial successes, regularly earning massive paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers met for the traditional stare-down, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually happening.
